A live-commerce marketplace can look finished while the commerce model underneath is empty. That is what we found on WeView: bookings could confirm with nothing at stake.
Vendors carried the risk — no-shows, burned offers, prep with no commitment. Users had no reason to put anything on the line.
The prescription was three settlement paths and the platform in none of them: earned wallet points for restaurants, pay on delivery for goods, pay at venue for services.
Money moves customer to vendor. No everyday gateway custody. No chargeback surface for ordinary flow. Special-day card capture stays the deliberate exception, not the default.
Nobody asked for a wallet. The wallet was the diagnosis — and because points can only be earned, review integrity and engagement become one mechanism instead of two features fighting each other.
